Kolkata: Days after the turban controversy over the BJP's march to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's office, another controversy is brewing over the coloured water that was sprayed on protestors by police from water cannons that day. NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday denied the Central government's request seeking one month's time to implement the interest waiver on loans of up to Rs 2 crore and observed that it is not fair on the government's part to delay the implementation of its decision. A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan, asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta what the Centre has done for the implementation of its notification for giving relief to borrowers.
