687 New COVID-19 Cases In Gujarat, Biggest Jump So Far

(File)Ahmedabad: Gujarat recorded its highest single-day spike of 687 new coronavirus positive cases so far on Friday, which pushed the state's overall tally beyond the 34,000-mark, the health department said.This is for the seventh consecutive day that the state has reported 600-plus fresh COVID-19 cases.With the addition of 687 patients, the total number of positive cases in the state has gone up to 34,686, the department said in a statement.During the same period, 18 patients died due to the infection, taking the death count in the state to 1,906, it added.As many as 340 patients recovered from the infection and were discharged from different hospitals in the state, taking the count of such person...

ISRO’s Orbiter Mission captures image of Mars’ biggest moon

The Mars Colour Camera (MCC) onboard ISRO's Mars Orbiter Mission has captured the image of Phobos, the closest and biggest moon of Mars.The image was taken on July 1 when MOM was about 7,200 km from Mars and 4,200 km from Phobos."Spatial resolution of the image is 210 m. Maximum late fee for delayed filing of GSTR-3B return capped at Rs 500 – Times of India

(Representative image)NEW DELHI: The maximum fee for delayed filing of monthly and quarterly sales return and tax payment form GSTR-3B till July 2020 has been capped at Rs 500 per return. "In a major relief to the GST taxpayers, the government has decided to cap the maximum late fee for form GSTR-3B at Rs 500 per return for the tax period July 2017 to July 2020 subject to the condition that such GSTR -3B returns being filed before September 30, 2020," the CBIC said in a statement. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified that there will be nil late fees if there is no tax liability. In cases where there is any tax liability then a maximum late fee of Rs 500 per return would be applicable to such GSTR-3B returns filed up to September 30, 2020. Source link

Maharashtra Records Highest Single-Day COVID Spike Of 6,364 Cases

So far, 10,49,277 people have been tested in Maharashtra (File)New Delhi: Maharashtra reported another single-day highest increase in coronavirus cases on Friday with 6,364 new patients being detected, which took the case count in the state to 1,92,990.The death count due to the pandemic rose to 8,376 with 198 new deaths reported, a health department statement said.On Thursday, the state had witnessed single-day highest increase in patients at 6,330.On Friday, 3,515 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals.
